Our Solutions
Expert pest management for homes and businesses across Western New York. Real jobs, real crew.

In Western New York, seasonal pest activity means rodents in the walls in winter, stinging insects in summer and everything in between. We diagnose, treat and safeguard your home using family- and pet-safe protocols.

Pest issues in commercial spaces hurt reputations and operations. We inspect, treat and set up ongoing prevention for restaurants, offices, warehouses, retail and rentals.

Rodents and nuisance wildlife get in through small gaps. Our exclusion work seals the entry points on rooflines, chimneys, soffits and foundations, which is especially important for older WNY homes.

Wasps, hornets, yellow jackets and more. We clear the nest and treat so you can enjoy your yard again, and we take care of ants inside and out.

Reviews
“I’ve had my yard and house treated for a few years now and the results have been amazing! We were constantly swatting away yellow jackets and wasps when we tried to enjoy sitting outdoors. Now we barely notice them. We also no longer have small ants or other insects that would find their way inside our sunroom. The applications are quick and thorough. I highly recommend Gernatt Pest Solutions.”
Nicole Erb“We had an incredible experience with Gernatt Pest Solutions. During a home remodel last year, we uncovered a massive ant infestation—it got so bad that ants were literally crawling on our children while they were in bed. It was a stressful situation, and we needed emergency pest control fast.”
Mia Dabolt“Gernatt Pest Solutions is the best. If you're having pest problems I recommend you call Gernatt Pest Solutions.”
Rita Bugenhagen“Very helpful and knowledgeable!”

Minimum-risk pesticides (often called “25(b)” products, after Section 25(b) of the federal pesticide law, FIFRA) are made only from active ingredients on an EPA-approved low-risk list, such as certain plant oils like cedarwood, peppermint, rosemary and thyme oil. Because the EPA has determined they pose little to no risk to people or the environment, they are exempt from federal registration. New York State still regulates them: products must meet the EPA exemption rules, and when applied for hire they must be applied by a NYS certified applicator. We’re happy to discuss lower-impact options with you during your free estimate.
In plain terms, a pesticide is any product meant to prevent, kill, repel or reduce pests, whether insects, rodents, weeds, fungi or other unwanted organisms. That includes everyday items like insect repellents and ant baits, not just sprays. Products meant to regulate plant growth or dry out or drop leaves count too.
The U.S. EPA defines a pesticide (with minor exceptions) as “any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling, or mitigating any pest,” and “any substance or mixture of substances intended for use as a plant regulator, defoliant, or desiccant.” Source: EPA, What is a Pesticide?
The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation uses the definition in NY Environmental Conservation Law §33-0101(35): “Pesticide” means “any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling, or mitigating any pest; and any substance or mixture of substances intended for use as a plant regulator, defoliant or desiccant.” Sources: NYSDEC guidance, ECL §33-0101
